Notes
- BeyondCoal.ca is not yet active. The site will be quite basic and will highlight simple facts, including:
- coal's significant contribution to global warming,
- the rapid increase in the export of US coal through BC,
- the fact that Roberts Bank (Westshore) in Delta has been the single busiest coal port in all of North America over the last decade,
- plans for 18 new coal mines in BC,
- the BC government's support for a doubling of coal exports out of the province,
- and the urgent need to begin reducing global warming emissions if we are to avoid catastrophic climate change.
- The site will also provide information on how citizens can express their concerns to government, and links to other groups active on this issue.
Total cost of the campaign: $5,900 (two billboards for one month). This includes creative development, printing and rental.
